AXA, beautiful and fiercely independent, first came to our shores aboard the First American Edition Series in 1981. She found herself warmly received—so much so that her entire newspaper run has been reprinted (see below). She is the creation of Spanish artist extraordinaire, Enrique Romero (who now draws Peter O'Donnell’s Modesty Blaise).
