  • Wonder Woman Archives. By William Moulton Marston and H.G. Peter. Created by Marston, a psychologist and the inventor of the polygraph, as a means to express his theories about male-female relationships. Wonder Woman was an Amazon princess and the daughter of Queen Hippolyte. Living on Paradise Island, where no men were allowed, she came to America to help fight WWII. In her alter ego as Diana Prince, she served in the military. But as Wonder Woman she had powers that almost rivaled those of Superman. Also reprinted are the Golden Age issues' original covers.

  • Sensation Comics, Number 1. Originally published in January 1942 by All-American Comics, which merged with DC in 1944, this issue reprints the second appearance of Wonder Woman (her first was in All-Star Comics #8. Also featured are stories by Gardner Fox and Bill Finger, and art by Sheldon Moldoff and Irwin Hasen. Wonder Woman, the creation of William Moulton Marston, was clearly the star feature of this issue. She lasted until Sensation Comics #110, but her adventures continued in Wonder Woman, in one form or another, until the present day. 6½x10, 64 pages, full color, comic book format, ....$3.95
  • Wonder Woman, Number 1. Originally published in Summer, 1942, this is not the first appearance of Wonder Woman. She had already appeared in All Star Comics #8 and Sensation #1. Created by William Moultan Marston due to a perceived lack of strong female characters in comics, Wonder Woman was an instant success, and along with Superman and Batman the only character published continuously since the Golden Age. Illustrated by Harry G. Peter, Wonder Woman was based on Greek mythology and had the beauty of Aphrodite, the strength of Hercules, the wisdom of Athena, and the speed of Mercury. 6½x10, 64 pages, full color, comic book format, ....$3.95
